Micro-needling is one of the latest skin rejuvenation techniques. We use Dermapen, the safest and most effective form of skin needling. A series of very fine needles in the pen cause micro-injuries to the skin, these trigger the natural healing processes of your skin, promoting the production of collagen and elastin which tightens and smooths the skin.
Microneedling therapy is a very simple procedure that uses a hand-controlled device with tiny, shallow needles to puncture your outer layer of skin to create a controlled skin injury. This damage to the skin will stimulate your body to produce new collagen and elastin. The freshly produced collagen will rejuvenate your skin by filling in fine lines, resulting in an overall improvement in the texture and tightness of your skin by removing the wrinkles, scars and stretch marks that can make you look younger as you age.

Prior to having a skin needling treatment, a skin consultation is necessary. In the consultation, we’ll discuss how the treatment works, pre/post care and what to expect when having your treatment.
What are the benefits?
The benefits of micro-needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging. Dermapen also has a positive effect on hyperpigmentation as well as on hyperpigmentation, large pores, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks and generally creates a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.
What areas of the body can I treat?
The Dermapen can be used on all parts of the body; Face, neck, decolletage, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back. Dermapen can treat all skin conditions such as Wrinkles, stretch marks, scars, acne scarring, skin tone, fine lines, loose skin, large pores.
How is the procedure done?
A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the Dermapen. Your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical gel to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure takes 60-90 minutes (including a thorough skin consultation) depending on the size of the area treated.
What is the downtime?
Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin.
The total healing time depends on the depth of needles used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 3 days. Some patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours.
When will I see the results?
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues. It is recommended that you are using a good homecare routine pre and post treatment (as a minimum, using a good quality topical vitamin A and vitamin C), to maximise your results.
How many treatments will I need?
Some patients only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 4-8 treatments spaced about 3-6 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 4-6 week intervals.
